👉🏼 Question to Answer - Who do you want to help with your services? Open your notebook or online doc and draft in detail the person you envision working with.
- Are they male or female? (Or both?)
- How old are they?
- What type of lifestyle do they live?
- What are they thinking about as they brew their coffee in the morning and what keeps them up at night?
👉🏼 Do your research on the social platform your ideal client gravitates towards! Your target audience's age or occupation may influence what site they spend the most time scrolling through (Facebook, Insta, Twitter, and Pinterest are entirely different worlds, my friend!)
👉🏼 Now that you know where your dream customer hangs out, let's talk content! In the beginning, learning what type of content your audience is hooked on will take both research and simply playing around with different types of posts. So have some fun with this! Create posts with short captions long captions, pictures of you, graphics, play with verbiage and punctuation, report stats...Over time, you'll see who your posts attract and what they love!
👉🏼 Last but most definitely not least...ENGAGE! This is SO important. Follow people who fall in line with the person you outlined in step 1 above. Comment on their posts. React to their stories. Conversation leads to conversion!
